Openhouse League Rules

Welcome to Openhouse

General League Rules

* Players are responsible for understanding the general league rules.
Special rules & format will be announced by the TD at the start of tourney as well as listed on the Rules page.
It is necessary to message the TD with any problems experienced in any tourney.
Please use Pogo Private message or Yahoo messenger to contact the TD.
We are here for fun and expect everyone to listen to TD directions.
ALL DECISIONS MADE BY THE TD WILL BE FINAL.
Players must follow Cases, Openhouse, and tourney rules.
One warning will be given, noncompliance will lead to a DQ. Depending on the players actions, a boxing penalty can be assessed.

* Please respect all players. This means no bad sportsmanship.
Bad sportsmanship will be punished if it is repeated happening.
Examples of good sportmanship are saying gg (good game) or tyfpm (Thank you for playing me)
and wishing you opponent gl (good luck) at the start of a match.

* At no time will you use abusive language aimed at any member of this league, or to any pogo players that are in our rooms
If you get provoked by a non league member whilst in a room, then please use the mute button, tell an admin, and report it to pogo.
Any abusive language will be dealt with by 30 day in the box for 1st offence and then a ban for a second offence.

* Please report all match results in the lobby like this: WINNER /// NONWINNER and do NOT report to the tourney page.
The TD will do that for you.
Only in special cases will the TD ask a player to use the tourney report link to report a loss.

*At all times the hosting TD is in charge of the lobby.
If you have a problem during a tourney, all questions should be directed to the presiding TD
If you have a general problem regarding the league, please try and contact a HTD in the first instance.

* All players should be in the game lobby at the start time for each tournament.
All tourneys will close by 5 minutes after the tournament start time.
It is up to the player to either withdraw from the tournament or to message the td and asked to be removed if they're having difficulties loading into the game lobby before the tourney.
During the tourney the player must ask the td to remove them.
If a player withdraws themselves from tourney after it begins, the player will be boxed for 3 days after the 3rd time.
The player will then be boxed 7 days for next offense, and removed from the league if done again.

* If booted each player will be allowed 1 timer per round. (*excluding leaderboard games)
The timer for a player will be 5 minutes.
If a player fails to return to the match or lobby before that timer expires, then they are DQ'd from that tourney round.
The td will keep track of the time remaining, no more than 5 mins will be given total.
They are eligible to play additional rounds if the format allows - ie, double elimination or swiss.
The player must tell the TD that their opponent is missing ASAP.
DON'T LEAVE THE ROOM.
Timer will start as soon as the TD is aware of the missing player.

*Only the hosting TD is permitted to watch a table during a tournament.
Players ARE NOT permitted to "watch" a tourney match in progress.

*There will be no timer on leaderboard games.
Players are expected to be in game room at tourney start time.
If you are unable to make it to the room in time, then please notify the hosting TD.
The TD will not remove anyone unless they are asked to do so.
If you make it to the room late, you have the option to play in the hopes of catching up or, forfeit that round to your opponent and continue with rest of tourney if it happens to be a Swiss or Double Elimination.
In the event that a player misses an ENTIRE round during a Swiss tourney they will be removed from that tourney.

* If the match being played is a partners, NO RESTARTS will be allowed.
In bowling.. the rnd played, the partner will be given 150 added to the score.
If the missing partner doesn't make it back in time for the next rnd, the team will be removed.
The player must make it back to the table before the timer expires.
If one partner times out or goes missing: -In card games and games with table options (i.e.; Canasta, Gin, Cribbage, etc.), if a partner times out, then the bot will be added. -In all other games (i.e Lottso, Vaults), the remaining partner will continue to play alone or forfeit that match.

* In the event of a tie game, the TD will set a tie breaker.
Card games will be one hand played, high score wins.
Leaderboard games will be rematch, high score wins.
All other players in tourney will be asked to sit that rematch round out so that the TD is sure to see their scores.
**Bowling- in the event that a second tie should occur, the td will keep track of the strikes rolled by each player and will advance the player with the most strikes thrown in that game.
Slot games both players will play for 5 minutes, high score wins.

* If you are in another tourney and it is not in the finals by the time the next tournament is about start, the TD has the right to remove you from the tourney.

* If you are a no show for a tourney, or you get booted during a tourney, you will be left in for the next round regardless, and then removed should you not show for that round.

*The following are grounds for disqualifications in any and all tourneys: The use of any auto programs (this will also lead to removal from this league) Argumentative or disrespectful behavior or foul language directed at any OPENHOUSE staff or players -Non compliance with League rules, cases rules, tourney rules or causing drama.
